I usually frame my thoughts in the garden. |
When I was a small girl, I remember I was planting plants in empty cans of milk. We lived in a small house, without a garden, in a crowded area. It was always my dream to have a garden where I can plant flowering plants and Bermuda grass.

That dream materialized when I got married because my husband owned a house with a big garden and a fish pond. I wrote about places that I have gone to. This time, I want to write and to show you around our home garden.

keeping our garden secured! Hahahaha! |

our son is also a nature lover. |
When I first arrived in The Netherlands, our home garden was very masculine! Hahaha! I told my husband that I like some grasses in the garden so our son can play there. My husband moved the cactus he planted in the middle to give room to the grasses. During summer, we love to lay down there.

Because life in The Netherlands for most of the time is spent indoors, particularly during cold season, it is like a month of partying and celebration during summer season.
We have a barbecue grill in the garden. My husband built a sandbox for our son. We have a fish pond for Koi. My husband has I think more than eight Koi in our pond.

for me, they are beauties, not mess. |
In the Netherlands most of the residents have a small garden. It surprises most of our visitors to see that we have a big garden. Now that I am living in this house, the former masculine garden became feminine! Hahaha! We have many flowers, I decorated our dirty kitchen, and there is always laundry hanging on the clothesline during summer. I really love my clothesline. Clothesline brings me back to my old life, my simple life with my parents in the Philippines.
When my son is at school, I spend my time in the garden. I usually frame my thoughts in the garden. It is a lovely thought for me: when my husband is at work and my son is in school, my constant companion is my God... And nature. If ever you are near, I can invite you to have a coffee with me or with me and my husband, right in our beautiful garden.
AWWWWW I enjoyed touring the garden to see the beautiful flowers, fish pond, fruits, and wish I could taste the grapes,..they look so good ! I am happy that your family and you are enjoying themselves, especially Burt will have lifetime memories,..yes,I will have a cup of coffee with you there !
