Online Shopping, Just One Click Away

Online shopping is just a click away

Online shopping has become a multibillion-dollar revenue stream--not to mention it has completely turned the path to purchase on its head. -CMO
in less than a month I reached level 7

Wish, my favorite shop

Online shopping became a fast trending lifestyle for the past few years until today. My Dutch husband prefers to shop items we need online than going to an actual shop or store. During his free time, he enjoys browsing for items displayed on various online shops. What he usually viewed are gadgets, car stuff, and for our home.

I am not into online shopping, not until recently. When I saw this ad of the online shop named Wish. I saw it on Facebook, I clicked it, I fell in love with their items, and now it is like a history to me! Hahaha! My first purchased were one blouse and two pairs of shoes. I made the payment through my credit card (I am an extension of my husband). I feel so euphoric with shopping and swiping online! Hahaha! And that heavenly feeling when one of my purchases was delivered. Waiting for my purchases to arrive is like waiting at home for a love letter! Hahaha!
I still love to shop my stuff (clothes and other of my girl thing) at H&M. But there is something with online shopping that I also enjoy... The power of just a click with your hand.

Some tips for online shopping:
-read reviews
-shop only to a reliable shops
-follow the instructions especially on size chart
-brows items regularly, so you can check the sales items.
There are items that worth 50 euro today, the next day it becomes 15 euro!

Happy shopping!

Do You Love "Preloved"? Helpful Tips In Shopping Second Hand

Do you like "preloved"? Preloved items? Bags, shoes, or clothing? Or do you also like a preloved man? Or a preloved woman? Hahaha!
Because of the tight economy, people are nowadays open to buy auction items and second hand products. To make it sound appealing, second hand items are called "pre loved". Pre loved clothing, shoes and bags, furnitures, cars, gadgets, and so on.

America has EBay, The Netherlands has Marktplaats, and the Philippines have UK, short for ukay-ukay. My husband is a member of Marktplaats. He already sold many used items through Marktplaats, and we also bought good used items in Marktplaats, the table and chair of our son, our wood cabinet for my husband's iMac, and the steel that my husband made as a fence in our fish pond.

In The Philippines, ukay-ukay is famous. Ukay means digging. You dig from a many used items to pick what you feel is the best. Many Filipina celebrities are wearing branded or vintage items that they bought in ukay-ukay. They are even flaunting about their digs!
my favorite vase is preloved.

this vase I bought for 0.60 euro

There are some second hand shops here in our town. The biggest one I think is the Het Goed, and the other second hand shops are just a small shop. I discovered Het Goed when another Filipina took me there. I saw how big the store is. They sell many items, almost all sorts of items, books, kitchen items, paintings, antiques, bags, shoes and, clothes. When I have time, I enjoy going there. It is so relaxing to look at the beautiful old items. I bought a flower vase there, some fancy things for the house, some shoes, bags, and some branded clothes.
my son graduated already to this buggy. My husband bought at Marktplaats.

this chair, convertable to chair and table is also a preloved. We love it for our son until now.

Since I don't shop pre loved items online, only my husband, I will give some helpful tips when shopping preloved items at second hand shops:

1. Do not take or bring children. Second hand items are kept for quite a long time before they are disposed, they might have a kind of smell that are not good for children. I remember, one time I went to a second hand shop in Manila and the smell of the goods caused me sneezing.

2. Go the a second hand shop when you are not in a hurry and at the time when there are not many shoppers. I am telling you, the selections in second hand shops are almost endless. You will get fascinated for almost everything, even you are not going to buy all items on display. Hahahah! The best time to go is in the morning, before lunchtime. Second hand shops are crowded in the afternoon.

3. Fit to fit. Do not hesitate to fit any clothing you like to buy. Fit than to be sorry. If you do not like to fit items that belongs to someone you do not know without washing it first, just make sure that it fits you. Sometimes, sizes are misleading. The small can be medium and the big can be small.

4. Check the items for any damages. They are at the second hand shop because they were already used, or preloved. But there are also items that are being sold as good as new.

5. Bring cash. Some second hand shops do not accept cards.

I hope this blog can help you in a way or another. Good morning and I am wishing you all a nice weekend!

I Like To Talk About Shopping

For many of us, shopping takes up a large portion of our budget. Most of us likes to save money on the weekly food shop, next gadget purchase, wardrobe, or trying to cut the cost of online shopping.
From what I have read, statistics indicate that more and more shoppers opting to buy online, my husband is one of them. Better price, comparing price, 24 hour convenience, less expenses, and no crowds are among the reason why many shoppers now prefer to shop online.

I have some tips that I like to impart on how to economize in shopping:

1. Make a list. One of the main reasons why I usually have a shopping list because I don't like to forget anything now that I am becoming a bit forgetful, maybe because of old age or the anesthesia. Hahaha! Likewise, having a shopping list will help you to focus buying only those items you need.

2. Shop around. Don't stick to only one supermarket or store. Go around, shop around and compare prices. There are instances that supermarkets sell the same brand, but I discovered which supermarket has a lower price.

my former life includes regular shopping for second hand books

3. Be smart to note that special offers are invented to make the shoppers spend more not less. This includes vouchers and cash back. Sometimes we buy something simply because it is a special offer even we don't need it. Money wise has been, never buy something you did not need just because it is an offer.

4. Try to avoid impulse buying. Impulse means a sudden desire, an impelling force or intensity. That is always the initial reaction when we see something we truly like. For women, it's new clothes, bag, or shoes. For men, usually gadgets. Consider carefully before making a purchase, especially when it is expensive. Why not let yourself drift to a good night's sleep first? Maybe that item becomes less appealing the next day.

5. Read reviews. If you are an online shopper or not, reviews are helpful to make sure of the product.
my son's stroller serves also as my shopping cart :)

Here are some more additional tips: nowadays, buying on credit card or debit card is safer than cash or check. And believe me, no matter how much self control we have in shopping, there are times that we all want to spend and fall into the trap of impulse buying. And for plain housewives, my shopping tip is: bring your husband along and you will not feel guilty at all. Hahahah! Have a great and productive week, everyone!
